Job summary

DeKalb County Government is seeking a Part‑Time Compliance Investigator to audit complaints, monitor nondiscrimination policies, and provide training on federal, state, and local laws.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field and at least three years of relevant experience; professional certifications are desirable.

You will analyze data, prepare reports, and act as liaison between departments while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required.
• At least three years of experience in affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, human resources, or a related field.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PSHRA‑CP or PSHRA‑SCP certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations: receive and review complaints; conduct intake activities; interview and gather evidence; prepare investigative reports; make recommendations.
• Determine the applicability of mediation procedures; conduct/coordinate complaint mediation hearings, coaching, and negotiations; transcribe minutes.
• Ensure compliance with nondiscrimination policies; advise staff; liaise between County departments.
• Maintain statistical documentation; analyze data; prepare reports; identify trends; recommend policy changes.
• Assist in developing and updating complaint procedures, policies, and forms.
• Maintain confidentiality of all work activities and records.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and attend professional workshops.
