Job summary

The City of Renton is recruiting for a Code Compliance Inspector within the Community & Economic Development Division. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of code enforcement experience.
• Or minimum 6 years of relevant education and experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Successful driving record check and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to ensure safety and welfare of residents and property values.
• Investigate complaints and initiate compliance procedures.
• Provide technical information and interpret municipal codes to the public.
• Review site and building plans for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and maintain records, reports and statistics; testify in court.
