Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Team Leader for Coordination of Benefits (COB) to guide departmental staff, manage workloads, and support operational goals across the COB function. You will provide coaching, monitor performance, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve issues, drive process improvements, and ensure compliant, customer-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workload to achieve business objectives and provide direction to the team.
• Act as a resource for work processes and procedures.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
• Serve as primary contact for operational updates and escalations.
• Ensure training and provide professional responses to inquiries from customers.
• Provide ongoing coaching and conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with other teams to set and monitor performance goals.
• Identify system/process gaps with cross-functional teams and address root causes.
• Document and report problems/trends and implement solutions.
• Conduct random audits and create performance improvement plans.
