Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Coax Splicer to join our field operations. You’ll work in outdoor utility construction, perform splicing, activations, testing, and troubleshooting to deliver high-quality service.

We value safety, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to work shifts with overtime. A valid driver’s license and the potential for a DOT medical card are required, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a safety-minded approach.
• 1–3 years of splicing experience preferred.
• Comfortable climbing ladders or operating a bucket truck.
• Hands-on problem solver with focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Upgrade existing plant, plant extensions, and new building construction.
• Read CATV design prints and understand schematics.
• Work at outdoor utility construction sites.
• Collaborate with team to optimize network capacity.
