MasTec Communications Group seeks a Coax Splicer to join our field team in outdoor utility construction. You will splice, sweep, troubleshoot, and optimize coax networks while reading CATV designs and operating RF meters and TDR equipment.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of splicing experience, comfort with ladders or bucket trucks, and a hands-on, quality-focused approach. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany a safety-first culture.

• You are comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truck.
• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work.
• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime.
• You have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT Med card; MVR review required.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot coaxial cable (aerial and underground).
• Optimize nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity.
• Utilize RF meters and TDR for testing and validation.
• Read CATV design drawings and prints.
• Work at outdoor utility construction sites.
