Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Coating Process Engineering Manager for our Performance Tapes team in Painesville, OH. You will lead a high‑performing group of process engineers, drive stability across coating operations, and apply Lean Six Sigma to improve yield and reduce variation.

Responsible for setting priorities with site leadership, guiding capital upgrades, and partnering with R&D and commercial teams to deliver process improvements and new product development initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an accredited university is required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in statistical analysis, SPC, DOE, FMEA; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, monitor, and control improvement plans with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of process engineers and drive site-wide process stability.
• Drive loss reduction, line throughput, and product quality improvements across coating lines using Six Sigma and RCA.
• Partner with site leadership to translate strategies into actionable engineering priorities and capital plans.
• Support day-to-day operations with cross-functional teams including R&D and commercial partners.
• Engage in safety, quality, cost, and process improvement projects with sustainment controls.
