Job summary

Avery Dennison is hiring a Process Engineer for an on-site role at our Mentor, OH facility. You will support day-to-day manufacturing operations for coating and compounding assets, driving Six Sigma-based improvements and cross-functional collaboration with Marketing and R&D.

You will partner with site leadership to optimize processes, manage capital projects, and deliver improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering with 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience using SPC, DOE, FMEA, and MSE; Six Sigma exposure or belt certification preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of process optimization in 24/7 operations, PSA coating, or web handling.
• Strong project management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and ability to train and influence across levels.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day product and process operations for coating and compounding assets in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Act as a technical partner to site leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Identify, investigate, and analyze production issues using Six Sigma, SPC, and root-cause problem solving.
• Improve and optimize current product lines and processes by reducing variation and conducting capability studies.
• Lead capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional collaboration.
