Job summary

Avery Dennison in Greenfield, IN is hiring a Coating Business Unit Manager to direct multiple shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. You will coordinate production activities, workforce planning, employee relations, and lead day-to-day Coating and Finishing operations as part of the Plant Leadership Team.

You will mentor front-line supervisors, drive continuous operational improvements (ELS/Six Sigma) across the facility, and serve as site safety champion, collaborating with health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of Operations/Manufacturing experience with 3+ years of manufacturing leadership.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams.
• Experience with modern manufacturing systems, material flow, and continuous improvement (ELS/Six Sigma, 5S).
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting and cost-driver knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day 24/7 operations across Coating and Finishing.
• Coordinate budgeting and manage cost variances.
• Direct and manage Shift Managers across Coating, Finishing, Shipping, and Material Handling.
• Participate on Plant Leadership Team focusing on Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity, and CI programs.
• Act as safety champion and oversee incident investigations and RTW restrictions.
