Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, industrial or energy technology or related combinations per listing.
• High school diploma with required related experience or military experience as outlined.
• Possess a valid State driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Isolate, clean, open, replace, inspect, close and return to service strainers, heat exchangers and dust collectors.
• Operate, clean, service and lubricate portable power tools and equipment; maintain tools and work areas; conduct tests with portable meters and analyzers; lubricate equipment; operate oil filtering equipment.
• Operate and maintain bottom ash and flyash handling equipment; monitor plant equipment; report abnormal conditions and write work orders.
• Perform disassembly/assembly, cleaning and reconditioning of parts; prepare surfaces; set up scaffolding; perform minor plumbing/heating maintenance.
• Move materials using hoists, fork-lifts, skid steer loaders and other equipment; handle related duties.
• Routine cleaning of plant areas; clean oil igniters and nozzles.
• Assist in preparing boilers; monitor coal feed; perform slag handling and soot blowing tasks.
• Use flow diagrams to identify piping/equipment and revise prints; perform tests and prepare reports.
• Follow safety rules and participate in firefighting, first aid and emergency response programs.
• Perform similar or less skilled work as assigned.
