Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator/Maintenance position at our power plant. You will perform semi-skilled maintenance, assist in boiler prep, monitor coal feed and operate related equipment as part of daily plant operations.

The job requires the ability to stand long shifts, read simple prints, and pass safety and physical assessments. A full-time role with rotating shifts and comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Two-plus year related experience preferred in power plant environment.
• Ability to read, interpret and work from simple prints and specifications.
• Must pass online pre-employment assessment and physical abilities test.

Responsibilities

• Isolate, clean, inspect and service plant strainers, heat exchangers and dust collectors.
• Operate, service and Lubricate portable tools and equipment; monitor tests with meters/analyzers.
• Maintain and clean work areas; perform minor maintenance on boilers, valves and piping.
