The AES Corporation in Ohio is offering a co-op engineering internship for Spring 2027 on the Relay/Protection and Control Engineering team. This role provides practical experience in protection and control of power systems and exposure to industry-grade engineering processes.

You will collaborate with staff engineers on calculations, studies, and relay logic design, while developing documentation compliant with IEEE and NERC standards.

Formación

• Pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Sophomore or higher is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Work alongside staff engineers to help perform electrical calculations, coordination studies, short circuit studies, and design relay logic to develop protective relaying settings to detect and isolate faults on AES Ohio's transmission and distribution system.
• Assist in producing detailed engineering in accordance with AES Ohio and relevant industry standards (IEEE, NERC, etc.).
• Complete additional assignments as determined by their supervisor.
