Job summary

Skyway Precision, Inc. seeks a skilled CNC Machine Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and productivity in our Livonia facility.

You'll diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve machine performance, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial or CNC maintenance.
• Strong understanding of CNC machine controls and systems.
• Electrical troubleshooting including reading schematics.
• Mechanical systems and precision alignment.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on CNC machines (mills, lathes, and related equipment).
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose issues in CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar).
• Respond to machine breakdowns and minimize downtime through quick, effective repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve machine performance.
• Install, test, and commission new equipment and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
