Job summary

ARCH Cutting Tools in Flushing, MI seeks a Maintenance technician to support the manufacturing facility's daily maintenance, install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC and manual machinery to maximize uptime.

The role requires diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, following preventive maintenance schedules, coordinating with vendors, and keeping accurate records. Some after-hours availability may be needed to sustain production and support second shift.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing or tool and die shop environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and use electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics, prints, and manuals.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with vendors and all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization of the maintenance department.
• Establish and execute preventative maintenance schedules on CNC equipment, air compressors, manual equipment, fork trucks, etc.
• Coordinate with vendors related to machine repair, installation, and improvement.
• Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records, repair histories, inspection documentation, equipment manuals, and vendor service records.
• Provide plant maintenance that may require knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, CNC machines, grinding equipment and other machinery.
• Follow safety policies, lockout/tagout, and ensure machine uptime.
