Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Setup Machinist / CNC Setup Technician for a contract-to-hire role in Duluth, MN. You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, load materials, and verify parts against drawings to ensure high-quality production.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of CNC setup/operation experience, be able to read engineering drawings, and work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years CNC setup and operation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience operating Haas or Mazak machines is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety-minded with proper PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts.
• Load materials, set tools, and adjust offsets as needed.
• Review programs and update as required for current conditions.
• Deburr and inspect parts to ensure drawings are met.
• Read blueprints and record deviations from specs.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and production records.
• Follow written, verbal, and electronic work instructions.
• Collaborate with team on continuous improvement.
