Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft Ltd. is seeking a Setup Machinist in Minnesota to prepare and operate CNC equipment, load materials, and verify part conformance to drawings. You will read engineering drawings, set up tools, and adjust programs as needed to ensure high-quality production.

You will deburr parts to drawing specifications, document deviations, and maintain a clean, safe work area while adhering to safety policies. This role requires a 2-year machining program and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 year Machinist vocational program and 2-4 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read drawings and technical specifications including GD&T, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to ensure safe, efficient production.
• Load material during operation and change or adjust cutting tools and offsets as required.
• Determine if programs need updating or modification and provide feedback.
• Deburr product to drawing requirements using hand and power tools with high precision.
• Check fluid levels, manage chips and monitor equipment for maintenance needs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to guide activities and ensure quality.
• Follow work instructions to complete tasks and maintain records.
• Keep daily production records and manufacturing data as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment and follow safety standards.
