Markent Personnel, Inc. is assisting a manufacturing client in Farmington, CT to recruit a skilled CNC Programmer. This role blends CNC programming, process planning, and cost estimating to support high-quality sheet metal fabrication, efficient production, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on programming experience, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across production, sales, quality, and shipping teams.

Qualifications

• CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficient in CAD software and CNC programming languages.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, press brake, and other sheet metal equipment.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and customer specifications to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Select tooling, materials, and production methods to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
• Design manufacturing fixtures as needed and establish manufacturing routings.
• Collaborate with production to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates based on material requirements, labor, machine time, and outside services.
• Support the sales team with timely, accurate quotations.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and Certificates of Conformance.
• Coordinate packaging and shipment of finished goods; schedule carrier pickups to ensure on-time delivery.
