Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) in Danbury, CT. The role involves setup, changeover, tooling changes, and programming for assigned equipment, with emphasis on G-code and quality checks.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of CNC experience (full setups).
• Ability to read, write and work with G-codes and edit machine programs.
• Ability to read blueprints, setup sheets, specifications, and production documentation.
• Ability to use gauges, measuring tools, and inspection methods.
• Ability to perform setup/changeover and routine troubleshooting within authorized limits.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, changeover, tooling changes, and routine process adjustments.
• Operate machine shop equipment per procedures and production requirements.
• Read and interpret work instructions, setup sheets, blueprints, specifications, and docs.
• Write, edit, and adjust machine programs as required for assigned equipment and production needs.
• Read and apply G-code in support of setup and machining operations.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final checks using gauges and measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot routine machining, tooling, and quality issues and escalate non-routine issues.
• Assist in training or guiding less experienced operators.
