Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Danbury, CT is seeking a CNC Machinist - Programming for 1st shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

You will perform setup, changeover, tooling changes and routine process adjustments, operate machines, read work instructions and blueprints, and write or adjust G-code. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years CNC experience, multi-machine setup capability, ability to read gauges and use inspection methods, and capable of troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or equivalent demonstrated work experience.
• 2-5 years of CNC experience (full setups).
• Ability to read, write and work with G-codes and edit machine programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, changeover, tooling changes and routine process adjustments.
• Operate assigned machine shop equipment per procedures and production needs.
• Read and interpret work instructions, setup sheets, blueprints and production docs.
• Write, edit or adjust machine programs for assigned equipment.
• Read, understand and apply G-code for setup and machining operations.
• Perform first-piece, in-process and final gauged checks with approved gauges.
