Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator & Shop Technician for an on-site role in Valley City, OH. You will program, set up, and operate 4- and 5-axis mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines to produce prototype parts from CAD drawings.

You will review engineer CAD files, select tools, inspect parts for accuracy, and collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturability while maintaining detailed process documents.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certificate or diploma in CNC programming, machining, or related field is preferred.
• Or at least three years of direct CNC programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines for prototypes and small production runs.
• Review CAD files and drawings from engineering for project requirements.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Program machines using Mastercam for accurate part production.
• Select tools, fixtures, and materials per engineering requirements.
• Inspect finished parts with precision tools for quality.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize manufacturability.
• Maintain documentation of programming, setups, and usage.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, or process issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and support shop operations.
