Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in New Brighton, MN, is seeking a CNC Programmer to create and verify programs for 3–5 axis machines, develop touch probe procedures, and maintain process documentation. You will contribute to fixture design, tool development, and cost-reduction efforts on a full-time, on-site basis.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of related experience (or 6 years), and strong reading of engineering drawings. Proficiency with CNC tooling and Windows is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Two years of relevant experience, or six years total experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with CNC milling, turning, or grinding; setup and operation of machine tools.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create and verify machining programs for 3–5 axis CNC centers using blueprints and 3D models.
• Support touch probe procedures and on-machine verification programs.
• Develop and maintain machining process documentation including tool lists and setups.
• Participate in fixture and cutting tool design and development.
• Engage in cost-reduction projects related to CNC programming.
• Document best practices, procedures, and programs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following 5S/6S principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
