Job summary

Cintal, Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a skilled 3rd shift Machinist to operate and set up CNC equipment, including 5-axis machines, and to support programming during inspections.

The role requires precise control of speeds, feeds, coolant and tooling to meet part specifications. You will collaborate with Engineers, Quality, and Production to improve processes, document manufacturing methods, and ensure 6S and safety standards are maintained on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering - Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical.
• 3+ years of machining experience.
• Experience operating CNC machines, including 5-axis.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machines.
• Provide programming support during inspection.
• Update CNC programs as needed.
• Create and update manufacturing process documentation.
• Assist with program issues or updates to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Quality and Production to resolve issues.
• Maintain 6S and safety standards on the shop floor.
