Job summary

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a CNC Operator I to run manual and CNC machines, producing small to medium components per specifications. This onsite role in Indiana requires attention to detail and safety, with paperwork and quality checks integral to the job.

The position supports both finished parts and subassemblies, with a 3rd shift schedule. Preferred candidates have basic machining knowledge, a High School diploma, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic understanding of machining principles.
• Willingness to learn CNC operations.
• Ability to read simple blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operates manual machines such as saws, mills and lathes.
• Positions parts in specified locations using fixtures and fastening devices.
• Uses hand tools, electrical tools, and pneumatic tools as needed.
• Operates lift equipment when required.
• Uses precision measuring tools to verify tolerances.
• Recognizes material types and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Identifies worn tooling and makes needed changes.
• Verifies product or batch quality against specs.
• Reports defects or process issues to the Department Lead.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and completes paperwork.
