Job summary

Bürkert Group in Huntersville, NC seeks a Process Design Engineer to lead CNC machining value streams from raw stock to finished parts. You will optimize spindle time, improve scheduling with SAP CM25, and drive SYNCHRO-based improvements on the shop floor.

The role requires a strong background in precision CNC operations, lean manufacturing, and hands-on problem solving. The candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver on-time, quality parts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred; Green Belt with Black Belt‑level project experience considered.
Experience in a precision CNC machining environment with turning, milling, and multi‑axis setups.

Responsibilities

Own CNC machining value stream from raw stock to finished part release.
Drive spindle time optimization and reduce idle time across machining cells.
Improve machine scheduling using SAP CM25/Fiori; align with delivery commitments.
Lead tool management and KPI visibility using SYNCHRO/Siemens TMGR as applicable.
Lead Kaizen, 5S, and TPM workshops to generate documented improvements.
Maintain and improve production documentation, standards, and routing data.
