Job summary

Burkert New Zealand Ltd. seeks an experienced CNC Manufacturing Engineer in North Carolina to own CNC machining processes, optimize spindle time, and lead Kaizen events across turning, milling, and multi‑axis cells.

You will partner with programmers on CAM strategy and maintain tooling and process documentation. The role requires 5–8 years in precision machining, strong GD&T and CMM inspection knowledge, and hands-on SAP CM25 / Fiori scheduling experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field is required.
• 5–8 years in precision CNC machining with close-tolerance parts.
• Strong ownership of machining process improvements.
• Experience with SAP CM25 / Fiori scheduling and routing.
• Knowledge of SAP routing data, CM25, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Own the CNC machining value stream from raw stock to finished part release.
• Drive spindle time optimization across turning, milling, and multi-axis cells.
• Define and enforce setup standards and handover documentation between shifts.
• Lead root cause analysis on scrap, rework, and non-conformances.
• Maintain digital machine handbooks and SI08 documentation.
• Drive poka-yoke implementations and intralogistics interfaces.
