Job summary

Burkert USA Corporation in the United States is seeking a highly skilled CNC manufacturing engineer to own the value stream for CNC machining of systems and standard components from raw stock to finished part release.

You will optimize spindle time across turning, milling, and multi-axis cells, define setup standards, partner with CAM teams, and drive structured improvements while ensuring SAP routing accuracy and tool management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering required.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred with 5–8 years in a precision CNC machining environment.
Ownership of machining process improvements: spindle utilization, setup reduction, tooling programs, and scheduling discipline.
Experience with SAP CM25/Fiori scheduling, routing management, and capacity planning.
Tool management systems experience; Siemens TMGR is a differentiator.
Leading Kaizen events, VSM workshops, and 5S programs in machining.
CAD/CAM proficiency (Siemens NX, Mastercam, or equivalent); Vericut preferred.
Familiarity with GD&T, precision measurement, and CMM-based inspection.

Responsibilities

Own and optimize CNC machining value stream processes from raw stock to finished part release.
Drive spindle time optimization across turning, milling, and multi-axis cells.
Define and enforce setup standards, including first-article verification and handover documentation.
Partner with CAM programmers on strategy improvements and tool management.
Lead root cause analysis on scrap, rework, and non-conformances; drive a structured improvement roadmap.
Maintain manufacturing qualification matrix and training plans for machinists and operators.
Ensure SAP routing data reflects current times, sequences, and resources.
