Job summary

Burkert USA Corp is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer focused on CNC machining to own the value stream from raw stock to finished parts. The role drives spindle time optimization across turning, milling, and multi-axis cells and partners with programmers on CAM strategy improvements.

You will manage SAP CM25 / Fiori scheduling data, enforce setup standards, and lead Kaizen/5S programs. Tooling, GD&T, and CMM inspection processes are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline is required.
• 5–8 years of progressively responsible experience in a precision CNC machining environment (turning, milling, multi-axis) for close-tolerance parts.
• Experience owning machining process improvements: spindle utilization, setup reduction, tooling programs, and scheduling discipline.
• Direct experience with SAP production modules — CM25 / Fiori for scheduling, routing, and capacity planning.
• Hands-on tool management experience; Siemens TMGR is a strong differentiator.
• Proven track record leading Kaizen events, VSM workshops, and 5S programs in machining or fabrication.
• Familiarity with GD&T, precision measurement, and CMM-based inspection processes.
• CAD/CAM proficiency (Siemens NX, Mastercam) and Vericut simulation experience.

Responsibilities

• Own CNC machining value stream from raw stock to finished part release.
• Drive spindle time optimization across turning, milling, and multi-axis cells.
• Own and improve machine scheduling using SAP CM25 / Fiori.
• Champion use of Siemens TMGR tool manager for tool life and setup standards.
• Define and enforce setup standards, handover documentation between shifts and operators.
• Partner with programmers on CAM strategy improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis on scrap, rework, and non-conformances.
• Develop and execute an improvement roadmap between audit cycles.
• Maintain manufacturing qualification matrix per SYNCHRO standards; address training gaps.
• Ensure SAP routing data (CM25 / Fiori) reflects current times and sequences.
