Burkert USA Corp in Huntersville, NC seeks a seasoned CNC Manufacturing Engineer to own CNC machining value streams, optimize spindle usage, and drive scheduling discipline using SAP CM25. You will champion tool management with Siemens TMGR, establish setup standards, and collaborate with CAM for strategy improvements.

Qualified candidates bring a Bachelor’s in a related field, 5–8 years of precision CNC experience, and hands-on CAD/CAM and GD&T/CMM proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related technical discipline.
5–8 years of progressively responsible experience in a precision CNC machining environment—turning, milling, multi-axis machining of close-tolerance components.
Direct experience with SAP CM25 / Fiori scheduling, routing management, and capacity planning.
Hands-on experience with tool management systems; Siemens TMGR experience is a strong differentiator.
Experience leading Kaizen events, VSM workshops, and 5S programs in a machining or fabrication environment.
CAD/CAM proficiency (Siemens NX, Mastercam, or equivalent); Vericut simulation experience preferred.
Familiarity with GD&T, precision measurement, and CMM-based inspection processes as they apply to machined components.

Responsibilities

CNC Machining Process Ownership: own the value stream processes for CNC machining from raw stock to finished part release.
Drive spindle time optimization across turning, milling, and multi-axis machining cells.
Own and improve machine scheduling practices using SAP CM25, ensure accurate scheduling.
Champion use of Siemens TMGR Tool Manager for tool presetting, tool life management, and structured tool building.
Define and enforce setup standards: part setup, work-holding, first-article verification, and handover documentation.
Partner with programmers on CAM strategy improvements.
Lead root cause analysis on scrap, rework, and non-conformances from machining.
Develop and execute a structured improvement roadmap between audit cycles.
Maintain manufacturing qualification matrix per SYNCHRO standards; identify training gaps and drive qualification plans for machinists and operators.
Ensure annual instruction plans, familiarization plans, and SFM documentation are current and compliant.
Author and maintain Factory Standards, work instructions, BOPs, control plans, and process flow documentation for all manufacturing processes.
Keep SAP routing data (CM25 / Fiori) accurate in current times and sequences.
Build and maintain digital machine handbooks in SI08 for production-critical CNC equipment.
Establish filing practices per SYNCHRO Office; lead legacy documentation cleanup and standardization.
Drive poka-yoke implementation across machining setups and inspection.
Support process development in welding operations toward ASME BPE orbital GTAW as program scales.
Contribute to process improvements in secondary operations (deburring, washing, inspection).
Engage with intralogistics improvements (material flow, milk run, kitting) interfacing with machining cell efficiency.
