Job summary

Volt is immediately hiring for a CNC Operator in Monroe, CT. The 2nd shift runs 3 pm – 11:30 pm on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis with weekly pay.

You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, load materials and programs, and measure parts with calipers and micrometers, while documenting results and following work instructions. Pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in CNC operation or related machining preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand basic machining symbols and tolerances.
• Working knowledge of precision measuring tools.
• Basic math skills, including decimals and fractions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete production documentation.
• Experience with CNC setup, tool changes, offsets, and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with G-code or common CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak.
• Experience in a production or precision-manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
