Job description

Czarnowski is one of the four studios of the Czarnowski Collective. It combines operations, strategy, design, and fabrication to create exhibits and events that engage communities, generate brand enthusiasm, and educate consumers. It’s been over 75 years since we opened our doors, but we’re still not resting on our reputation or accolades. We’re wondering “what if…” anticipating what’s next and embracing our role within the Czarnowski Collective as forward-thinkers for forward-thinking brands.

Joining the Czarnowski Collective means the opportunity to be more than a number, more than a job title, more than a spectator. We are a collective of dreamers and thinkers, doers, and makers…and we’re searching for more of the same to join the ranks.

The Purpose:

We're looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our team! In this role, you'll bring designs to life by operating CNC equipment to create precision components that support some of our most innovative projects. You'll work with drawings, materials, and advanced machinery while collaborating with fabrication and production teams to ensure every part meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. If you're someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys solving problems, and likes seeing your work become a finished product, we'd love to hear from you.

The Job:
  • Review work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to plan machining operations and interpret GD&T requirements.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or routers to produce quality parts according to specifications.
  • Load materials, adjust machine settings, and verify first-run parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform machining operations including drilling, cutting, routing, turning, threading, and related processes.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues, make machine adjustments, and replace tooling as needed.
  • Inspect finished parts and maintain quality standards through established quality assurance procedures.
  • Monitor material inventory and coordinate supply needs to support production schedules.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with production, fabrication, and carpentry teams to ensure parts are produced accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate production, inspection, and shift documentation while communicating operational updates and production issues to team members and supervisors.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
The Person:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of CNC machining, CNC operation, manufacturing, fabrication, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience operating CNC routers, mills, lathes, or similar manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and machining best practices.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating CNC routers.
  • Experience in woodworking, exhibit fabrication, custom manufacturing, or production environments.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM workflows and experience reviewing CAD files using AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar software to support production planning and manufacturing processes.

This position is eligible for health care benefits, life insurance, time off benefits and participation in the Company's 401(k) plan.

What we offer:
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits effective within 30 days (or less) of your start date
  • 401K matching with no vesting period (you are fully vested as of day 1)
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Paid Holidays
  • Collaborative Work Environment
Collective Culture Core Values:
