Job summary

UMC in Monticello, MN is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support daily operation, setup, and quality assurance of machines in their area. You will uphold safety, document setups and inspections, and work with engineers and senior machinists on process improvements.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of machining experience, knowledge of CMM/VCMM and GD&T, and the ability to read blueprints. This is a Monday-Thursday, onsite role with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2+ years machining experience in lieu of formal education.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and using measurement tools.
• Familiar with CMM/VCMM and GD&T concepts.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines for various jobs and perform quality inspections.
• Operate machines efficiently while meeting specifications.
• Document process steps and maintain logs per shift.
• Collaborate with engineering and senior machinists on improvements.
• Support first-piece inspections and troubleshoot as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and promote safety.
