Job summary

Ultra Machining Company (UMC) in Monticello, MN is seeking a CNC Machinist. The role involves independently setting up and operating milling machines, ensuring parts meet strict tolerances and quality standards, and assisting the quality team as needed.

Qualifications

• Two-year certificate in machine trades or equivalent preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T is required.
• Proficient in G-code/M-code and precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines for all jobs.
• Inspect in-process parts and document results to specs.
• Troubleshoot issues with Supervisors/Engineers to maintain flow.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Collaborate with senior machinists and quality team as needed.
