Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Operator for metal fabrication in Elkhart, IN. The role involves operating saws, drills, punches, and MIG welding, with welding duties increasing as you are trained. Strong measurement skills and blueprint interpretation are essential.

Work on a 1st shift in a non-climate-controlled facility from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday with possible Friday work. Contract-to-hire, onsite in Elkhart. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding on steel and stainless steel.
• Ability to read blueprints and cut sheets.
• Accurate tape measure reading to 1/16 in.
• Experience reading production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automatic saws to cut parts per specs.
• Set up and operate drill/punch presses for holes and features.
• Form and finish parts with shears, benders, sanders, and polishers.
• Perform manual MIG welding and progress to 30–40% welding duties.
• Read blueprints and interpret tolerances and fabrication requirements.
• Record production data and inspections using computers.
