Job summary

FANUC America Corporation is seeking an Associate Mechatronic Field Engineer to provide onsite repair, troubleshooting and maintenance for CNCs and related equipment. Ideal candidates reside near Spartanburg, SC and will support customers across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Eastern Virginia.

The role requires travel up to 80–90% to customer sites, strong diagnostic skills, and a background in electronics or mechatronics.

Qualifications

Experience in technical customer support or field service.
Familiarity with relays, circuit breakers, sensors and motors.
Ability to handle tools and equipment up to 75 lbs for site work.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for equipment issues.
Ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts in varying environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in CNC systems troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Provide maintenance and troubleshooting service for CNCs, servo, spindle drive and motor products.
Investigate customer complaints and determine root cause.
Travel to customer sites and support field service operations.
Participate in on-the-job training and formal instruction.
Submit accurate paperwork and manage inventory as required.
Travel 2–3 nights per month for site visits or training.
