Job summary

Amentum in Durham, NC is seeking a 1st shift CNC Machine Repair Technician II to join our maintenance team. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to work orders on facility machine tools in an industrial environment.

This intermediate role requires a high school diploma and at least two years of facilities or equipment maintenance experience. Candidates must pass a pre-employment test, lift up to 50 lbs, and work safely with PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in maintenance in an industrial environment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment test.
• Must work safely with PPE and lifting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct safety-related issues and evaluate equipment failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical controls and systems.
• Respond to work orders and communicate with customers on service status.
• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics and prints.
• Operate diagnostic hardware and hand tools to repair equipment.
• Maintain schedules and adapt to varying shifts and overtime.
• Perform general maintenance as required.
