Job summary

Amentum seeks a CNC Machine Repair Supervisor to lead a skilled technical team at our Lafayette, IN client facility. You will manage preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, robotics, and related systems, driving reliability and continuous improvement.

The role requires hands-on leadership, 5+ years supervisory experience, and strong expertise with PLCs and CMMS (Maximo). Shift: 2nd shift, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM; weekends overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in industrial maintenance or production facilities.
• 5+ years’ supervisory experience in industrial environments.
• Proven troubleshooting of CNC machines, robotics, HVAC, and hydraulics.
• Experience with electrical systems including PLCs and 480V motor controls.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-skilled technician team with coaching and training.
• Schedule and prioritize repairs using Maximo to ensure on-time completion.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for CNCs, robotics, and HVAC systems.
• Act as SME for PLC/IO control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc).
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Conduct safety audits and train staff on lockout/tag-out procedures.
• Develop and present performance and downtime reports to management and clients.
• Coordinate with contractors and oversee external repairs and projects.
