Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist & Programmer to join the Operations team on Space Coast, FL. You will program, set up, and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes to produce precision flight hardware, review models and drawings, and develop CAM programs with Siemens NX CAM.

You’ll handle job execution from planning through inspection, and work with Engineering and Quality to ensure flight-critical parts meet strict tolerances.

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5
• 5+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
• Proficiency with G-code editing and verification
• Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis milling/turning
• Knowledge of tool-path optimization and inspection planning

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills and turning centers
• Create and prove-out Siemens NX CAM programs and select tooling and workholding
• Perform end-to-end job execution from planning through inspection and documentation
• Conduct in-process and final inspection with precision measurement tools
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions while maintaining safety
