Job summary

Precision Castparts in Tukwila, WA is seeking CNC Machinists to set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe machines for aerospace components with precision and efficiency. Depending on experience, you may work under supervision or independently, demonstrating growing technical leadership.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, in-process inspection with measuring tools, documenting quality, setting up fixtures and offsets, deburring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 1–6+ years of CNC lathe experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of shop math.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Ability to read/write English and interpret blueprints.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to meet production rate and quality.
• Load and unload materials.
• Perform routine machine upkeep and cleaning.
• Use precision measuring tools.
• Read blueprints and work instructions.
• Monitor conditions and report issues.
• Deburr and edge-break parts.
• Set up machines with fixtures, tools, and programs.
• Train and mentor junior machinists.
• Follow safety, quality, and 6S practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
