Job summary

Hoppe Technologies, located in Chicopee, MA, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and mill-turn machines. You will work on precision aerospace components, read blueprints, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining tool offsets and quality metrics.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of CNC experience in a machine shop, strong measurement skills, and proficiency with Mazak and Matsuura equipment, with a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational training desired.
• 3–5 years CNC setup and operation in a machine shop.
• Experience with Mazak and Matsuura preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and understand GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and produce quality parts on 3-, 4-, or 5-axis milling or mill-turn machines.
• Load/unload parts, operate controls, edit basic programs, and deburr parts.
• Complete tool changes and reset offsets.
• Use drawings and gauging to inspect in-process and finished parts.
• Dismantle setups and return tools and fixtures to proper location.
• Report machine and equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Communicate with supervisor to resolve machining or quality issues.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Perform daily/weekly preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Adhere to AS9100 quality program and safety regulations.
