Job summary

Hoppe Technologies, located in Chicopee, Massachusetts, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our aerospace-focused manufacturing team. You will set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling or mill-turn machines, produce high-precision parts, and work with Mazak and Matsuura equipment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years setting up and operating CNC mills, mill-turns, or lathes.
• High School Diploma or GED; technical/vocational training desired.
• Knowledge of precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators).
• Ability to read drawings and GD&T.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Able to work independently or in a team; adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC mills, mill-turns, and lathes to produce quality parts.
• Load/unload parts, operate controls, edit programs, and deburr.
• Complete tool changes and set tool offsets.
• In-process inspection and gauging checks for conformance to drawings.
• Dismantle setups and return tools/fixtures after runs.
• Report machine malfunctions to supervisor.
• Maintain clean work area and perform preventive maintenance.
