Job summary

CTL Aerospace is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist at our northern Cincinnati, OH facility. You will develop, prove out, and optimize CNC programs to machine complex geometries on multi-axis centers. The role requires setting up machines, creating tooling/fixtures, and coordinating with engineering for new product changes.

You will train machinists on programs, troubleshoot DNC issues, and maintain thorough records while upholding safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical school degree in CNC programming.
• 5+ years equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with mills, lathes, VTLs, and 5-axis machining centers.
• 2+ years of CNC programming experience.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for CNC programming.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings.
• G and M code editing, multi-axis functions, and machining with multiple brand controllers.
• Experience with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and prove out CNC programs for complex geometry on multi-axis machining centers.
• Set up and operate NC machines as required.
• Create/modify tooling and fixtures.
• Prepare tools, fixtures, and programs for new jobs and improve current tooling.
• Edit programs to improve efficiency and adapt to production changes.
• Maintain detailed records of CNC programs, modifications, and tooling.
• Assist in training machinists on program usage and provide technical support.
• Coordinate with engineering and production on new product developments or changes.
• Troubleshoot DNC system issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Perform other related duties as directed by management.
