Job Summary

Operate computer numerical control and manually controlled machines to fabricate parts. Load parts into machines, cycle machines, detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged tools. Run production lots, communicate with co-workers, and maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Essential Functions

• Perform typical machine shop operations.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
• Perform tasks including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, sawing, and sanding.
• Inspect machined products and document results.
• Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness according to procedures and regulations.
• Meet or exceed manufacturing goals.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Accept supervision and perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Work with tools and equipment, using hands to handle objects and controls.
• Mobility for stooping, bending, lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, walking, and using ladders.
• Vision abilities including close vision and focus adjustment.
• Wear safety glasses with side shields in production areas.
• Work environment varies with season, with heat and cold temperatures.

This is a safety-sensitive position due to manufacturing environment, moving equipment, elevated surfaces, and forklift traffic.
