Job Title: CNC Machinist I - 3rd Shift

V2X is growing! We are seeking a CNC Machinist I - 3rd Shift to join our team. This entry-level role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications, with opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities
  1. Set up, program, and operate CNC machines (3, 4, or 5-axis) with minimal guidance.
  2. Operate manual machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
  3. Perform basic assembly and repair of parts and mechanisms.
  4. Interpret blueprints, sketches, specifications, and NC programs.
  5. Verify workpieces using measuring instruments.
  6. Ensure parts meet quality and cost standards.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Basic understanding of machining practices and metal properties.
  • Familiarity with manual machine tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, conversational).
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments.
Qualifications
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • 0-2 years of machining experience; CNC experience is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and handle materials.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance may be required.
