Job Description: CNC Machinist – Precision Manufacturing

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Employment Type: Full-Time or Contract

Shifts: Day or Night shifts available

An established precision manufacturing company in the greater Indianapolis area is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join its growing team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a clean, well-equipped environment producing high-tolerance components for a specialized industry.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes or mills to produce complex parts to tight specifications
• Read engineering drawings and apply GD&T to ensure accuracy
• Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges
• Adjust machine offsets, perform tool changes, and make minor program edits
• Monitor machining processes to maintain quality and consistency
• Perform first article and in-process inspections
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision environment (preferred)
• Proficient with lathes and/or mills and control systems
• Skilled in reading complex blueprints and using precision inspection tools
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or in a team
• Willing to work flexible shifts or occasional overtime
