Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $32.00/hr

Job Responsibilities
  1. Read and interpret blueprints, study work orders, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and drawings; interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  2. Create product blueprints and drawings with GD&T specifications.
  3. Write and edit programs manually and using CAM software based on engineering specifications.
  4. Set up and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes, selecting and securing fixtures, tools, and materials; recognize and use inserts, fixtures, and tooling; use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
  5. Maintain strict tolerances of within .0005 inches.
  6. Plan machine operations and production goals considering work orders, materials, and machining parameters.
  7. Utilize speeds and feeds effectively to maximize tool life and part quality.
  8. Detect defects, ensure adherence to blueprints, and report issues.
  9. Monitor machines to prevent malfunctions or waste.
  10. Prepare production reports and track resources and expenses.
  11. Design jigs, fixtures, and templates to improve production efficiency.
  12. Learn and improve established practices for operations, evaluate procedures, and suggest improvements.
  13. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and maintain cleanliness.
  14. Perform routine repairs on machines.
  15. Operate all assigned machine shop operations and perform 3D printing as needed.
  16. Implement and maintain 5S techniques.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of CNC machining experience.
  • Knowledge of setting up and running a cell environment.
  • Strong understanding of tool offsets, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
  • Proficient in programming, problem-solving, and mechanical skills.
  • Leadership and organizational skills for workflow management.
  • Ability to estimate time and materials, with strong time management.
  • Mechanical inclination, metallurgy knowledge, understanding of geometry and basic Trig.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs safely, stand for extended periods, and work a 40-hour week reliably.
