Job summary

Yamazen Inc. in Rochester, NY is seeking a Sales Engineer to prospect and engage customers in an exclusive territory. You will own the full sales cycle from initial contact to close.

The ideal candidate has outside sales experience, strong presentation skills, and mechanical/technical aptitude. Travel will be required to meet customers and develop solutions, using Salesforce CRM to track activities.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering or Business or equivalent work experience.
• Outside sales experience with manufactured equipment preferred.
• Strong professional communication and presentation skills.
• Innovative approach to problem-solving and results-driven mindset.
• Effective closer with mechanical/technical aptitude.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, develop and close new business with new and existing customers.
• Meet or exceed annual sales targets within the territory and accounts.
• Travel to perform customer consultations and gather details for estimates and proposals.
• Maintain involvement on turnkey projects, demonstrations and related customer projects.
• Possess and maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines.
• Utilize Salesforce.com (CRM) for all prospecting and customer activities.
