Job summary

Allied Mechanical in Ontario, CA is seeking a seasoned CNC Lathe Machinist to set up and operate large multi-axis vertical and horizontal lathes, shaping, finishing and boring metal workpieces with tight tolerances. This role requires accurate program edits and the ability to run parts across multiple machines. Experience with Fanuc controllers, blueprint reading, and precision measurement is essential.

It is an ITAR role for a U.S. Person, with overtime and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Experience with Fanuc controllers required.
• Set up and operate CNC mills/lathes on complex parts.
• Run the same part across multiple machine platforms.
• Verify dimensions using precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Train lower-level machinists on machines and safe practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large multi-axis vertical and horizontal lathes.
• Shape, finish, bore and edge large metallic work pieces while maintaining tolerances.
• Edit programs to improve run times and part quality.
• Provide feedback to programming and engineering on performance.
