Job summary

Kinetic Personnel Group is seeking experienced CNC Mill & Lathe Machinists for the Huntington Beach, CA area on the 2nd shift. You will set up and run CNC mills or lathes, read blueprints, and maintain tight tolerances on aerospace/precision prototype parts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• Ability to independently set up and machine complex parts.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Aerospace/defense or prototype manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.
• Perform machine setups, including tooling, workholding, offsets and job preparation.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and dimensional requirements.
• Machine complex and contoured components to specified tolerances.
• Select and use appropriate cutting tools and machining methods for each job.
• Inspect completed work to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Make machine adjustments and offsets as necessary to maintain part quality.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling and setup issues during production.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
• Work independently while coordinating with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing as needed.
• Support overtime and changing production requirements when necessary.

CNC Mill & Lathe Machinist – Aerospace / Precision Prototype

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Schedule: 2nd Shift | Start time approximately 4:15 PM or 6:00 PM

Pay Range: $30.00–$40.00/hour, depending on experience

Industry: Aerospace / Precision Manufacturing

Overtime: Weekly overtime may be available/required based on workload

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced CNC Mill and/or CNC Lathe Machinists to join the second-shift manufacturing team. This is a hands‑on machining position for candidates who are comfortable independently setting up and machining complex, close-tolerance and contoured components from engineering drawings and blueprints. The ideal candidate has a strong precision‑machining background and can take a job from setup through completed part while maintaining dimensional accuracy and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
• Strong CNC mill and/or lathe setup and operating experience.
• Ability to independently perform machine setups rather than operating only pre-set equipment.
• Experience machining complex precision components.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds/speeds and workholding.
• Ability to inspect your own work and maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Aerospace, defense, prototype, R&D or other high-precision manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
• Must be comfortable working 2nd shift and overtime as required.
