Job summary

Daifuku is hiring a Laser Operator in Hobart, IN, to set up, program, and operate a CNC laser cutting machine on the first shift (5:00am–1:30pm), Monday–Friday. You will read blueprints, measure parts with tape measures, and ensure quality within strict tolerances.

The role requires at least 2 years of CNC operating experience and knowledge of lens maintenance, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines. Training and certification in CNC laser operation are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of CNC operating experience & troubleshooting.
• Certificate and completion of CNC Laser operation training program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser cutting machine and load materials.
• Maintain focal point, feed rate, power, and other parameters.
• Perform routine optics maintenance including lens cleaning and nozzle care.
• Record machine errors and report to supervisor.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and tape measures for quality checks.
• Maintain safety records and housekeeping.
