Job summary

Daifuku is seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator for our Hobart, IN facility. This full-time role on the 3rd shift (9:00 PM – 5:30 AM, Monday–Friday) requires reading blueprints and schematics, measuring with tape measures and micrometers, and operating CNC laser cutting machines to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CNC laser-cutting operations
• Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• 2 years CNC operating experience required
• Experience with CNC laser operations
• Good time management skills
• Team-oriented and collaborative
• LOTO, crane, and forklift operation certifications

Responsibilities

• Operate single or multiple CNC laser cutting machines, load raw material, and optimize quality by adjusting focal point, feed rate, power, and other parameters
• Maintain machine optics including tape shots, lens focusing, lens cleaning, nozzle cleaning, and replacement of worn parts
• Label finished parts and deliver to designated areas
• Monitor laser operations and report any errors or issues to supervisor
• Use inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy
