Job summary

Reliant Systems, Inc. is seeking a CNC Horizontal Mill Set Up Machinist in Zimmerman, MN. You will set up horizontal mills from unfurnished state and run production parts with tight tolerances, ensuring accuracy per drawings.

Responsibilities include reading prints, loading tooling, verifying readiness, and measuring parts with calipers and micrometers. You’ll work with minimal supervision and communicate progress to your supervisor while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Ability to load and run programs on a coordinate measurement machine.
• Ability to meet the above essential functions with multiple variations of Horizontal Mills without additional training.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills.

Responsibilities

• Read prints and set up sheets to prepare tooling and run parts.
• Load tooling and programs, then verify machine readiness.
• Prepare area and stage material, then validate all requirements before first part.
• Load and remove material in CNC machine.
• Use measuring instruments to check parts coming off the machine.
• Identify parts that deviate from specifications; adjust offsets as needed.
• Run multiple machines when required.
• Maintain communication with supervisor about progress.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and complete other tasks as assigned.
